The University of Oxford announces Novogene Europe as a Next Generation Sequencing Preferred Supplier.
Novogene, a leading provider of genomic services and solutions with cutting edge next generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics expertise, and the University of Oxford, one of the world’s leading universities, have signed a framework agreement to provide the Oxford scientific community with preferential rates and a reliable, high quality NGS service.
The framework agreement has come about after some years of close co-operation between the two organisations, which has built trust in Novogene’s NGS services. Novogene’s expertise and established workflows have consistently delivered precise sequencing and data quality. Novogene’s commitment to the highest levels of customer service, coupled with the latest sequencing technologies and PhD level support, has provided Oxford researchers with the sequencing they need in their quest to advance world-leading science.
Novogene’s cutting-edge services are supported by the latest sequencing technology from Illumina, PacBio, and Oxford Nanopore Technology. The Illumina NovaSeqX Plus and PacBio Revio platforms bring additional throughput and long-read capabilities respectively. In addition, Novogene’s unique NGS automation system Falcon II brings unmatched automation improving both accuracy and throughput.
Tingting Zhou, VP of Novogene, commented: “It is an honour to be working with such a prestigious institution. We’re delighted to be able to offer a framework that gives Oxford researchers security and peace of mind when it comes to sequencing their samples as we know how much work goes into producing them. Novogene is fully committed to developing this relationship over the coming years.”
Emma-Jayne Corkish from the University of Oxford added: “We’ve been working with Novogene as one of our outsourced sequencing providers for many years and we’re delighted to take this step and in doing so provide an even better service for the Oxford research community.”
The framework agreement sets in place standardised service levels to ensure that Oxford researchers continue to benefit from guaranteed quality, accuracy, and turnaround time, as well as a possible expedited tendering process for publicly funded projects.
Oxford researchers also benefit by having an expert local Novogene Account Manager they can visit on campus, Adam Sawko. Adam comments: “I’m thrilled to strengthen our relationship and bring Novogene’s expertise to the broader Oxford community through this framework agreement, reflecting our commitment to quality and service.”
The framework agreement will stand for five years and both organisations look forward to continuing their work together long into the future.
